Solidarity: Just Live It!

"I sing of love and justice; to you, LORD, I sing praise!"

— Psalm 101

Welcome to Catholic Relief Services 2097 "Solidarity: Just Live it!" webpage.

ADORE Ministries, Catholic Relief Services, Essential, Provident Label Group, and spiritandsong.com have partnered in creating a night of praise, adoration, and solidarity with the poor around the world. Join Catholic artists Matt Maher, Paul George, Kelly Pease and Josh Blakesley for a night of praise and adoration! Listen to their stories about meeting people in need and finding out what U.S. Catholics are doing to help. Learn how you can "Just Live" the Catholic teaching of Solidarity. Serve by becoming part of the work of Catholic Relief Services in helping the poor and oppressed overseas.

Verse 2097 in the Catechism of the Catholic Church tells us "To adore God is to praise and exalt him and to humble oneself, as Mary did in the Magnificat, confessing with gratitude that he has done great things and holy is his name." Adoration leads us to deeper relationship with our God! Like Mary, that relationship inspires and impels us to live courageously within our world, committed to fostering relationships rooted in the love that Jesus exemplified. The very act of praising God turns us outward from ourselves towards God and others, calling us to living lives rooted in justice and peace.

On this site you will find out how to continue working with the US Catholic Church in promoting justice and peace around the globe. As you seek to get more involved in the work of our Church to serve the poor around the world, take with you the spirit of praise that always calls us out of ourselves and into the service of Jesus Christ for others.

Special thanks are given to the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops' Office of Social Development and World Peace for ideas for this webpage. To obtain additional youth resources on social justice, visit the Office of Social Development and World Peace Young Advocate Directory.
