Called to Witness Travel in Nigeria
The 2008 Called to Witness trip, sponsored in partnership with the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry, will be held April 14-28, 2008. Following a 2-day orientation in Baltimore, the group will travel to Nigeria. The trip will give particular attention to the CRS work with young people in terms of livelihood, education, health and peacebuilding; HIV & AIDS programming; and the role of the Catholic Church in Nigeria in responding to poverty and fostering peace and justice.
Check back in the weeks ahead for postings to our travelogue. As time and internet capability allow, we will make a periodic posting telling the story of our journey and pilgrimage to Nigeria. If you are interested in learning more about Called to Witness or applying for the 2009 trip, visit the Called to Witness homepage in August.
