CRS in Ethiopia
Azeb Asefa
"I have realized HIV and AIDS is a big issue. Previously, even though I was getting information from my teachers in the school, it was not really helping me enough to create power in me to speak out and to identify my problems and the problems of my classmates."
Azeb is one of the 8,500 Ethiopian young people who have participated in a CRS program called "In Charge!" a project that teaches young people about HIV and AIDS. With more projects like this one, and participants like Azeb, CRS Ethiopia hopes to help make sure that the next generation of Ethiopians will be able to grow up in a country without the scourge of AIDS. To learn more about our work in Ethiopia, read stories about CRS programming and view the Ethiopia: Hardship and Hope slideshow.
