Resources for the Haiti Earthquake

Often young people want to know how they can help in times of struggle and emergencies like the devastating earthquake in Haiti. Please invite our young people to stand with us as one human family and a community of faith at this difficult moment in our world's history. Invite the young people you serve to pray with and join in solidarity with our sisters and brothers affected by the earthquake in Haiti. The prayer and educational resources below are designed by Catholic Relief Services to explore the challenges facing the people of Haiti and possible ways of responding in faith. Thank you for creating global community with us.

• CRS does not provide mission trips. However, if you are seeking mission experiences rooted in Catholic Social Teaching, the CRS Education team recommends exploring the following experiences:
  
  
  • The Center for Ministry Development provides Young Neighbors in Action, a domestic service learning experience rooted in Catholic Social Teaching and weaving together prayer, service, social analysis and relationship-building.
    
    
  • Praying Pelican Missions leads international service-based trips rooted in the Gospel and focused on building relationships with local people. They will be leading trips to Haiti beginning August 2010.
